In addition to professional staff, Student Affairs Communications and Marketing employs a dedicated team of undergraduate student employees to ensure projects are executed to a high standard of quality.

Students in our program work alongside professional staff in the areas of:

With an educational focus and development-based approach, our students enhance their creative and technical abilities while learning to thrive in a team-oriented environment.   • Graphic Designer

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Interpret direction from design requests into creative design concepts
    • Prepare files for digital and/or print production as necessary
    • Work with supervisor and other student staff to maintain a consistent visual identity for the Division of Student Affairs
    • Collaborate with professional staff and other student employees to develop a variety of content marketing materials

    Qualifications:

    • Experience or major in graphic design, art, communication, advertising, PR or related field
    • Ability to work 10-15 hours per week, concentrated M-F during normal business hours

  • Writer

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Write news-worthy stories for the divisional news site and newsletters
    • Interpret creative direction from design requests into persuasive copy concepts
    • Copy edit divisional communications for accuracy, consistency and clarity
    • Create original written content for the Division of Student Affairs social media profiles
    • Collaborate with professional staff and other student employees to develop a variety of content marketing materials

    Qualifications:

    • Experience or major in graphic design, art, communication, advertising, PR or related field
    • Ability to work 10-15 hours per week, concentrated M-F during normal business hours

  • Photo/Video Assistant

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Produce targeted video content for the Division of Student Affairs
    • Interpret creative direction from design requests into compelling photo/video content
    • Create original photo/video content for the Division of Student Affairs social media profiles
    • Collaborate with professional staff and other student employees to develop a variety of content marketing materials
    • Assist with the management and organization of stock content

    Qualifications:

    • Experience or major in communications, cinema, PR, journalism, advertising, or related field
    • Ability to work 10-15 hours per week, concentrated M-F during normal business hours

  • Content Management Assistant

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Produce targeted digital newsletters using a content management system (Cascade)
    • Assist with maintenance schedule of Student Affairs websites
    • Analyze web traffic, email communication and social media data and create regular reports with assistance from supervisor
    • Copy edit divisional communications for accuracy, consistency and clarity
    • Collaborate with professional staff and other student employees to develop a variety of content marketing materials

    Qualifications:

    • Experience or major in communications, PR, journalism, advertising, marketing or related field
    • Ability to work 10-15 hours per week, concentrated M-F during normal business hours
